Orioles add more pitching depth

Orioles acquired LHP Alex Katz from the White Sox for 2 International signing slots.

Katz was in A Ball at Kannapolis and also pitched in the WBC this year. Good pitcher.

22 year old left that K'd 1 per inning in A ball last year.  I think we'll have him relieving in Frederick.  He pitched a few games for team Israel in the WBC as a reliever.

We traded away 730k of potential international bonuses to sign him.  It's good to get something of value for the draft slot.   Guess we're saving it all for the big club.

Yeah, he will be at Frederick, per Roch.

It'll be interesting to follow him. I can't name too many lefties in relief roles in the system right now, but then again, I'm on my phone and not computer.
