The Orioles are the only American League Wildcard contender with a record of 7-3 over their last 10 games.

Every other team is 6-4 or worse.

Yeah but the Twinkies, Halos, Rangers and Rays are all 6-4.  Must keep winning.

Going 7-3 over their last 10 games while no other Wildcard contending team has done that has simply kept the Orioles in the conversation, it has not set them apart.

It's fun and entertaining to do the scoreboard watching, but don't think that the number of teams that are in the hunt complicates the equation for the Orioles much. If they win at a .600 clip from here on out over their final 23 games (either 13-10 or 14-9), they'll have a 50-50 chance to get in ...... if they  win at an even higher clip than that (15-8 or better), then they will be in. The likelihood of more than 1 non-division winning team winning 87 or more games at this point is very improbable ........ unless the Orioles are one of those teams, of course.

Win today and a 5-5 road trip and they'll be right there, probably 1-3 games out with home games ahead. I love the stretch run in baseball.

Somewhat pedantic, but if the Os are 3 games out after the upcoming road trip, playoff hopes are pretty much shot. I think we're at the point where 5-5 is not good enough, especially with the schedule the Twins have.

Twins win.. that is a big time hit to our chances. We need to win 2 of 3 this weekend to have a chance. 2 games out now.

Unreal, Gordon didn't take charge on that pop up and may cost them the game. Yes indeed, with the Twins schedule and O's playing the Indians, this is a very bad result for the O's if it holds up.

Even if the Orioles make it in. They are playing a far superior NYY team in New York. That's probably a 40% chance of making it into the real playoffs. Then they are playing teams who are wayyyyy better than them. Maybe a 25% chance of winning a given series...

The Orioles just aren't that good. But It will be exciting if they make it/
