And where would we be without Mancini or Beckham, two guys who were not part of the plan going into spring training?

Wouldn't it be something if Santander were to provide an unexpected boost to the offense over the last 6 weeks of the season?

As Buck likes to say, these things have a way of working themselves out.

Joey could be sent down for two weeks when Santander joins the team. Or, if he gets a chance and shows well, he could take some ABs from the mighty Trumbo at DH.

We may be a better team with Santander in RF and Mancini at DH with Trumbo on the bench, I just don't expect to see it.  He'll play once a week baring an injury to one of our starters.
