If they repeat the record for the first 40 games (24-16), they would finish at 84 wins, and just might squeak in as the second WC, assuming that no current WC contender separates themselves from the pack. They probably need to go better than 24-16.

It will all depend to the current 19-game stretch with only three games on the road.

I'm not sure what our record will be, but the only number that really matters is we are 2 games back. If we get even a little hot, we can take the second wild card. No one in the AL seems to want that second spot.

16-24.  The O's starting pitching is just that bad.  That would put the final record at 76-86.  The O's have been around a .500 team since the trade deadline even with one of the highest scoring offenses since then.  The offense is due for a return to average.

Look at the other teams starting rotations for the second WC. All are dreck. I guess whatever team goes on a run. Seattle gets back their two starting pitchers healthy and they might be the team to beat.

They are not going to make any major changes on offense as either they are guys that can not be traded because of contract or are producing enough for price.  The only move will be Smith gone and Santander and Hays playing.  The change will be in the 3 rotation spots.
