I'm sure they would have pulled him back.   Not clear to me why they put him on the list.

We could use a bullpen piece. I think Castro will get a few starts and it would be nice to not have to rely on Mike Wright et al as a replacement in the bullpen. Go get somebody reliable, even if it's Tommy Hunter again (2.57 ERA this year).

My  guess is that Dan is negotiating with the White Sox for Miggy right now.   It will depend on the price.   I would guess that Dan wants to send Ubaldo, some cash to even the money and a minor leaguer from A ball for Miggy.

I think we see Hardy, Rickard, Crichton and Yacabonis added to the roster tomorrow.

Sisco is probably added after the Tides season is over on Monday because the Tides need two catchers to finish the season.

Pedro could be added with Verrett being DFA any time after today.

Aquino, Wright and Wilson have been announced for the next three games for the Tides so they are out of play for now.   The Tides will use two more starters for the lat two games maybe Asher and Ynoa.    After they pitch Wilson and Ynoa could be DFA'd  to make room for the 40 man roster.  I don't know how interested the O's are in calling up Aquino as a lefty.  I think the O's may go outside the organization for a lefty or be ready to add Scott on the Sept 8th to 16th time frame.

Wright will get a call up but he has to stay down 10 days until the 7th,  Hart also will get recalled on the 8th.

Remember, the only significance of Aug. 31 is that it's the deadline for a player to be eligible for postseason play.    Otherwise, waiver deals can still be made in September.

I think Miggy has value as a playoff starter.   Bundy, Gausman, Miggy and Hellickson or Miley

I would say that's extremely significant to the O's being that if they acquire anyone it would most likely be a starter and if that happens we would need him eligible for postseason play.

I would bring Asher up tomorrow. He pitched last night for the first time in 15 days. Get him up here and have him piggyback Tillman o Sunday. He pitched well vs Toronto early in year.
