Teams (except O's) keep saying not in on Cobb.

Palmer tweets that Cobb is looking for 4/68.  Do you do that?

Well if that is the case Orioles should have given Lynn 2/24.  The Orioles have painted themselves into a corner by waiting for Cobb.

Why would Cobb take 2/24? Do you know that the Orioles were not more than that for both two and three seasons?

So, here’s the market so far for top starting pitchers:

Darvish 6/$126 mm

Arietta 3/$75 mm (with opt out and options)

Chatwood 3/$38 mm

Cashner 2/$16 mm (incentives could make it 3/$41 mm)

Vargas 2/$16 mm ($8 mm option, $2 mm buyout included in the $16 mm)

Chacin 2/$15.5 mm

Mikolas 2/15.5 mm

Lynn 1/$12 mm

Sabathia 1/$10 mm

Garcia 1/$10 mm

I don’t see Cobb getting 4/$68 mm.

If Cobb is negotiating with the O's, his price might have gone up today after Tillman's start. "Want me to save your season? Pay me, boys, pay me."

I think I liked baseball better when the players were slaves.  lol.   All this interminable negotiating and the lawyer agents drive me bonkers.     Just pick a daggone team and get on with it, for God's sake.

Not slaves really, I mean they were free to quit and go back to the farm.  Heck that's a better deal than serfs and indentured servants get.

Jake could make $130 million:

Hearing they are going to get Cobb too, they have $$$ to burn so he could possibly get more than that.

I was just being dramatic...lol.    Babe Ruth made more than President Hoover...but then he had a better year.

Turns out it was Tommy Hunter who snagged Jake...lol.

There is a part of me that hopes the old Oriole group of AM and Klentak and Hunter and Jake all fall right on their faces.  Plus I don’t like the Phillies or Philadelphia fans.
