More convinced than ever that it's going to be Araujo in Castro's role last year, Cortes as the long man and either Edgin or Rodriguez as the second one-inning lefty in the pen.

Wright is the fifth starter, with Cortes as the backup. They'll trade places in the pen if Wright isn't getting the job done as starter.
(We need a fifth starter only once in our first 16 games.)

Castro threw 66 IP in the bullpen last year, but he has options and it's better for the organization to see if he can start. So he goes to Norfolk to get stretched out in that role.

Rasmus and Gentry and Valencia and Possibly Pedro get added.

Edgin and Rodriquez.

Wright and Ynoa out of options.

Who else is out of options?

I expect Dan Duquette to be scouring the out of options players DFA'd elsewhere and the opt-outs.

Ynoa and Wright are the only notables out of options.

They are the only two out of options of note. Anybody else out of options is pretty much guaranteed a spot (like Brach, Bundy etc.)

That commenter is wrong about how many times they need a 5th starter. They play 12 straight after OD (13 straight if OD is rained out). Then they play 17 straight after their off-day on 4/12.

5th starter will make at least 5 starts by the end of April.

Rule 5ers  Cortes, Mesa and Araujo are not out of options but the O's lose them if they don't keep them.
