How Does CF End for AJ?

We all know Jones isn't really a CF anymore.  The legs and range have just gotten old.  How does this get solved?

- Does Buck ever talk to him about moving to RF?

- Does Jones ever talk to Buck about moving to RF?

- Does DD just decide that the team will bring up Mullins and tell Buck he needs to start in CF?

- Do they just wait until the end of the season and wait until February to decide if they want to ask Adam Jones back to play, and maybe they'll still let him play center?

 

If Jones wants to play for a contender this year, he really needs to move to right to show teams that he'd have value there.  I don't see anyone trading for Jones the aging CF.

Manny is playing Short, Adam is playing center, and Davis is the first baseman as long as Buck is here.  If DD told Buck to move him to the corner Buck would say that isn't your decision.

I don't think they will move him off of center field.   If he wants to be traded to a contender, I'm sure they'll tell him up front their plans for him.

Also Adam cares about winning. I don't think a contender would have any feedback from Adam if they told him he was playing right field.

He’s been a great Oriole, great part of the community, and a leader about things that really matter but I want it to end with him being traded this year.

I don't think the O's should offer him the QO.  He'd probably accept it.

As much as I love the guy, he's not worth more than $13M/year as a right fielder.  He'd be worth less than that in center.

Adam is probably traded in July and that is how his time in CF with the O's ends.

I assume he will go to the Giants or Braves and magically be his old self for another year or two because that is what always seems to happen.
