I agree...I just wanted to point it out for folks who wanted him traded before the deadline next season.

I believe Renato Nunez is only here until Wilkerson gets back and will be expendable quickly.

But if he doesn't hit and his defense isn't good, he could get DFA'ed quickly and they may give Dosch a shot until Wilkerson is healthy.

It think Velera could be our OD 3B next year. Good defense. Career .800 + OPS in AAA.

Valera has much more experience and has performed better at 2B.  His offensive numbers have been in the Texas League and the Pacific Coast League.  Both hitters leagues.  The O's will  want to see how he does at Norfolk.  It will probably be a challenge for him.

In his first 4 games with the Tides he started 3 at 2B, one at 3B.
