Roch: Caleb will not be back, "guaranteed"

Caleb was always one of Buck's guys.  A guy who really was held in too high regard by him.  I don't see a reason to have him on the team. Don't see him as a major league player going forward.

Yeah, with both Tony's and Roch's confirmation, the following possibilities exist:

1. He's signing somewhere else.

2. He's retiring.

3. Neither, but he's been told definitively by the O's they aren't interested. 

I would say #1 is the most likely scenario.

Both #1 and #3 are equally plausible.  I don't see him retiring.  He hasn't made enough money where even a minor league deal with an opt out wouldn't be appealing to him.

Agreed, they need to mentor and grow the Catcher of the future, that is, when they draft him as #1 pick in the draft.
