The Andy MacPhail method is outdated.

Grow the bats and a couple of starting pitchers, trade or buy the rest.  

By the time they are available most bats aren’t very good.

How about "Grow the bats, Buy the arms?" Here's why:

- investment/inventory in growing bats less likely to fizzle from injuries

- buy the arms once they are proven to be resilient

Pretty close to what I propose. Weams has a thread called “They All Break” so, finding ones who can perform is my priority. Injuries for pitchers is the cost of doing business.

Witt isn’t necessarily 2nd to Rutschmann right now.

What makes you so sure Crews goes 1-1 next year?

A 6-0 RH HS outfielder doesn't seem to leap off the page as a surefire 1-1.

Im more into cultivating the arms and entering into a mutually beneficial exchange of consideration to obtain the bats.

All depends on how many of the minor league pitchers develop. Need at least three of them to become above average ML starters.
