I find that to be a pretty logical approach. I do the same thing (with way less sophistication obviously) when finding interesting draftable players. I have some statistical criteria and round together a bunch of interesting performers and then watch game video to decide who has the tools to possibly succeed in pro ball and who doesn't. We know what he does against bad pitching and it's damn impressive. Have we found any "summer league" numbers on him? These are from 2017, Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League** Listed as a sophomore at that time: And from 2018, as a Junior: **On their website PGCBL describes themselves as "New York's premier wooden-bat summer league." Greg Pappas
I've been searching through Google trying to read anything about his defense, but I've dropped the ball. @Tony-OH @Luke-OH or anyone else here know anything about his defensive play at 3B? From what I've seen he's got pretty good first step quickness, decent hands and a solid average 3B arm, but his accuracy can be a problem at times. I've got to go back and watch more of his defense on video to give a full analysis.
