I like Bruce more than most and love the enthusiasm from Chris Slade, his cousin, when he starts. The feedback from the Orioles on his work last year is great. I've seen him look pretty good and I've seen him look hitable.  Good lefty to have in the system.

In my opinion, no. I thought Zimmermann was better than Rogers before even he improved in 2019. I've never liked Rogers.

Yikes, no. Zimmerman was always better than Rogers. Rogers was always a throw in kind of guy who might be able to eat you innings in a long relief role.

Glad to hear he’s a bit better than Rogers, but at one point Rogers had snuck onto the NYY and O’s top 30 prospects. So not meant to be a downer to Zimmerman. 

Hopefully some of these similar profile LH SP in AA-AAA turn into useful pieces at the MLB level. In some sort of role.

Looked pretty good until the walk and 2-run homer. Hitting 94, got 6 Ks.

Think it was a bloop single before the homer, not a walk.    Kind of an up and down day, but he certainly missed a lot of bats!   6 of 8 outs were by strikeout.

Slider was fantastic and he got a lot of swings and misses on it.   Fastballs up were hit.

I'm pretty encouraged by what I've seen so far. I think he's got better stuff than Akin.

All those FBs iirc leaked toward the middle of the plate. Instead of being really in or out.

I think Tony is right about him.   Tony has him 20  on the prospect list.  Orioles.com does not list him in the top 30.   He looked good.   Not ready for the majors but he has the stuff to make it to the majors from what I saw.
