I think it's happened a few times in the last 15 years or so.   David Price?   That lefty pitcher KC took in the mid 2010s?

The only reason this doesn't happen all the time is service clocks and money.  I really hope the new CBA changes how all that works, and we get to a point where players are called up when they're ready to fill a role on the MLB team. 

I'll be stunned if the O's called up Kjerstad.  Elias wants him to be under team control in 2029.
