IMO  this was not a good outing for Means.  In  2 innings he threw a total of 58 pitches, the 1st and the 3rd.  So he could not even get through 4 innings.  Hope he shapes up for the Season Opener.

According to Roch, Means got the Covid vaccine today and felt a little bit under the weather.

That post was in regard to Means' previous start, March 22nd against the Pirates.

Right ...... but the poster that you quoted made that post 5 days ago on March 22nd, right after the game against the Pirates. Means had a bad game that day, also. He threw 82 pitches that day, and he didn't even complete 4 innings. He ceded 3 Walks and 3 Runs in only 3.67 Innings Pitched.

Which is not to say that I am necessarily worried about Means having 2 bad starts in a row. Prior to that he had 2 very solid starts, collecting 8 Strikeouts against only 1 Walk over 8 Innings Pitched. Means is not a pitcher on the borderline fighting to make the team, he's our Opening Day starter ...... Hyde may have told him to just go out and throw the ball to continue building up his stamina in his final 2 Spring Training outings, and not to worry about the results.

After Enrique Hernandez' single to lead off the game, Means had Red Sox batters go 0-for-22 from the 1st through the 7th innings.
