I have a brother that did and has hung on to them.  He will purchase individual cards that he needs for sets here and there, but doesn't actively collect any more.  I think now he just tracks prices.  He has over 100,000 cards.  Mostly baseball but football, basketball and hockey, too.

Wow!!!! That's amazing! I used to collect when I was a kid (throughout the 90's), and still have mine, but my parent's put them in storage. Me and my brother wanna go to the storage unit and get them, but they're literally all the way in the back, so we would have to take everything out just to get to them. I have about 11,000 I believe and I have a ton of Cal Ripken cards. I just have football and baseball. I have a Brett Favre rookie card with his name spelled wrong. Too bad I wasted all my allowance on buying cards, because they're worthless now. It really sucks.

Nice - his are mostly from the 60s 70s, and 80s.  He has some older ones but pretty much stopped collecting by the 90s.  Like I said - he will be in the market for cards he needs.  He has bought a few complete sets at a time, but the bulk of them have been the old fashioned way - one pack at a time.

I may have some that he needs maybe.

Have they lifted attendance restrictions at Camden Yards?  Are the small crowds Covid or apathy?

Yes, restrictions were lifted at the start of June.

A lot of factors.  Some people may still fear Covid.  Obviously the team is bad.  And in a normal season some # (8000?) were sold before the season to every game thanks to season tickets.  Not all season ticket holders bought the seats this year.  Also, tickets normally go on sale by February for March for individual games and over time tickets to games throughout the season get bought, as people make plans.  That didnt happen this year.

So the fans in the seats are either the percentage of season ticket holders who did choose to buy their plans this year, and people who have bought the seats since they went on sale May 25.

The randomness that he injects into the game could be helpful against a clearly better team like the Astros.

He's given Akin 3 called third strikes.  I was driving home from work and didn't see the 2 in the 1st inning.  But the one here in the 2nd was very close, certainly some umps might have called it a ball
