How many current Orioles would start for a playoff team?

How many current Orioles (on the presumed 25 man opening day roster) do you think would start (or play a large role) for a team that is a serious playoff contender this year? 

I'll say Means, Mullins, maybe Mancini/Mountcastle

I agree, Means, Mullins, Mountcastle plus Mancini and Hays I think could start on a team that had other strengths. Rutschman if you are counting him as eligible. Sulser might be a 6th inning guy on some teams.

Now, which teams could use which of our players as starters?

Don’t we do this exercise like five times every year?   Most playoff teams have some weak spots.   Hays, Mullins, Mountcastle, Means, Mancini all could start for a playoff team.   Nobody else has proven they can, I’d say.

Why would we limit ourselves to who is on the 26 man roster at this  moment.  Why not include who is coming soon?

Starters: Means, (Grayson, DL, Bradish all top 10 O's prospects that will be in the majors this season)  and Lyles,  Yes Lyles.  He is as good as Yarbrough, Wacha or Fleming on the contending Rays.

Relievers:  Sulser, Wells,   2020 verison Scott and Fry,  Possibly 100mph Bautista,  Maybe even Lopez if he is better in short relief.  

Mullins, Mountcastle, Mancini, Adley, Hays.  Coming later this season Stowers,  Westburg and Ortiz.  And Gunnar may progress so fast that, like Manny did,  he is called up in the not too distance future.

If you aren't good enough to start for the Orioles you certainly aren't good enough to start for a playoff team.

Mullins, Mountcastle, Means, Mancini.  The 4 M's.  Hays could and should rise to that level this season if he stays healthy.

Anyone claiming any of our other pitchers currently on our 40-man would make a playoff team clearly haven't watched any playoff teams in recent years.  I think Wells could rise to that level if he continues his development.

I think Hall could make the bullpen of a playoff team.

With his stuff I'd give him a chance if I needed help.

He absolutely has the potential.  He's not on the 25-man roster yet.  That is why G-Rod needs left out of the discussion too.
