Juan De Los Santos - RHP

I was interested in seeing De Los Santos because I heard he had a good arm and I was not disappointed.

The 6-2, 250 righty sat mostly 94-95 from the radar gun readings (fell off to 92 around 45 pitches) given by the broadcaster. He looked like he had a slider that he struggled to command early on but it got better as his appearance went on.

Delmarva does not appear to have a center field camera (they had one occasionally last year) so it's tough to see overall, but good arm strength and he works fast (something I love).

Nice debut allowing just one earned run on one hit (a triple that was misplayed by RF) and three walks while striking out five in 3.1 IP. Obviously he's got a ways to go command and control wise, but he's the first pitcher I've seen in Delmarva this year worth keeping an eye on.

Terrific outing today, 6 IP, 1 ER, 3 H, 1 BB, 7 K’s.   He handled the six innings in a tidy 73 pitches.   Took the hard luck 1-0 loss.

Yep.  That pitch count is extremely efficient.

Was he an international signing? Looks bound for Bowie if he continues this pace.

Yes. He's an international signee. Doubtful you see him in Bowie this year.  Maybe not even Aberdeen for awhile.
