Let's say the lead remains only one to three runs, bring Lopez in to see if he can break the string of three home run-yielding appearances or go with Bautista as experiment in closing? OR stick with Perez since he's only thrown 6 pitches and there are two lefties coming up in next three Rangers hitters?

Yeah that was very spring training opening dayish type of coverage.

Lopez in. I would have stuck with Perez with two lefties hitting in first three, although it would have also meant Him would have batted right-handed, which is his stronger side.

Kevin Brown pointed out that the first lefty, and Heim the switch hitter, both have very good #s vs LH.

Bautista was never going to pitch tonight.   It would be his 3rd day in a row and 5th in 6 days.
