Well, ceiling means everything goes right.  Mayo has that level power, the size, age, etc…but let’s put it another way.  Mayo has the ceiling to be one of the best power hitters in baseball and potentially could be doing it a key defensive position.

I don’t think Mayo has that level power. There’s maybe 3-5 players in the majors that do.

I kind of hate the term “ceiling.”  It’s way too hypothetical.   Just because a player can hit the ball a long way when he hits it perfectly doesn’t mean he’s even remotely likely to do it as frequently as Judge does.

The National League at this moment has about two-thirds of the guys in Kiley's 11-30 range....narrowed to AL Only, it runs just:

2 Gunnar, 3 Volpe, 6 Moreno, 7 Grayson, 9 Mayer

12 Espino, 15 Mead, 18 Soderstrom, 19 Orelvis

24 Jung, 25 Baz, 30 Holliday

33 Valera, 34 Peraza, 35 Montgomery, 38 Rocchio

41 Tiedemann, 43 Cowser, 45 Mayo

Orangest tint, these Orioles five number among the Top 20 league wide.
