Nats Series

Roster resource has Bradish listed for Weds. They are usually spot on. However, they also have Grayson starting game 1 vs Det and Gibson pushed back until game 3.

Roster Resource has it as,

Tu: Kremer

Weds: Bradish

Th: Off

F: Grayson

Sat: Wells

Sun: Gibson

Hopefully, nothing is wrong with Gibson.

2 nice arms for DC. See what they can do. This is a “get right” game for Kremer. Again, another WBC guy starting slow. While he did a good job in his outing for Israel, he still likely didn’t get the ST he needed to get, so being behind on things early isn’t that surprising.

Hopefully he starts to show signs of last year tonight.

Alex Call and Lane Thomas are right there with Gunnar Henderson in the Bottom 10 of lowest in the Strike Zone swing percentage, watching a lot of strikes go by.

Josiah Gray has a high FIP thanks to 4 HR in 16.2 innings - his dial might be turned towards Yield HR, not Walks, in the style of Tyler Wells.

MacKenzie Gore the other way - 10 walks in his 15 innings the 5th worst walk percentage among MLB Arms with 10 innings so far.    So basically DL Hall with a weird uniform number.

You don’t think these guys have incredibly specific programs?  Would it be preferable to pitch to minor leaguers in a non-competitive environment?  Pablo Lopez seems to be doing aight.

They have to be just guessing. Gibson pitched before Grayson. Wells 2 days before him.

It either has to be Wells tomorrow or Bradish. Nobody else. They both threw Friday.

Everyone is different. That should be obvious.

Some are doing fine, others aren’t. That is how the history of the WBC has played out.

Some guys need a certain routine. Some maybe don’t work as hard when their team isn’t watching.

Some can go do the HR derby and it’s fine. Others it messes with their swing.

Not sure why that’s “confusing” to you.  Again, that should be obvious. Everyone handles things differently.

Now, maybe Kremer has just sucked and the WBC has nothing to do with it but it’s reasonable to think, especially since it has happened to plenty of players in the past, that the WBC has something to do with it.

You didn’t answer the questions.

These guys don’t have tailored programs?  Guys get to the MLB and perform but don’t “work hard when team isn’t looking”?

Playing inferior competition is better?

I have no idea what they are doing but I’m guessing they don’t get the same work, time, treatment, etc..they get in a normal ST.  Teams can’t watch them, so they want the countries to be extra careful.

I don't see how any site can be more " spot on" than others for pitchers who haven't been announced by their manager yet.   It's all educated guessing.   Sure, maybe that site is better at guessing than others, but until they tell us who is going to start a game, no site KNOWS anything more than you or I do.   We clearly have some moving parts with Bradish about to come off the IL, and with two off days in four days allowing a lot of flexibility.   But until Hyde says who is going to start a particular game, no site will have anything other than guesses, and I doubt any of the sites are any better at guessing than the folks here who follow the O's really closely.

If it were any other site I would say that.  Roster Resource is usually spot on.  I just hope something isn't up with Gibson.  I'm guessing that they just think Grayson is our horse and that we're running him out there every 5 days.  A google search says nothing about Gibson being hurt.
