Man I have some questions for Elias.

Torrens is DFA after not appearing in a single game afaik.

Good for Vavra.   He is definitely one of the top 6 or 7 infielders that we could have chosen from at AAA.

 I would have rather seen Ortiz get called up, but if Vavra is going to be up give him some at bats.

Would have preferred Ortiz but suspect this is based in part on Vavra being a switch hitter

Now, did that Torrens for O'hearn move make any sense? Why Vavra instead of Ortiz? Rom? Um, well, okay, I guess... I'm feeling very underwhelmed. We need offense and O'hearn nor Vavra gives us the potential for more offense.

No real clue, but I'd guess they don't want Ortiz up if he doesn't play 4 out 5 days. 

 

O'Hearn and Vavra and just AAAA guys that can play sporadically and PH.

 

I'm happy that Rom is getting a shot.

Vavra is not a switch hitter, just a lefty.

I assume they plan to face primarily RHP for the time being and want LH bats.

Urias going on the 10 day DL seems like a good opportunity to bring up Ortiz or Westburg, but what do I know?
