This game is shades of the Atlanta series. We look good and play close, but the other team has next to no weaknesses and the confidence that comes from experience. Does anyone see us winning 4/7 against either of those NL teams? The Astros? Tampa? We havve too many holes that can't be corrected this year.

Baker pitched yesterday and has been discussed at nauseam,  Baker is not good back to back games. But who else is Hyde supposed to run out there when middle relief is garbage? And what happened to Irvin? Wasn't he middle relief behind Grod tonight??

Enrique Bradfield just signed.  Assign him to the major league roster, put him in CF and have him hit 9th until Mullins comes back.   Then you can option him to Delmarva.

I kid of course, but do we have a defense-first CF in the minors that we can put out there?  Cowser and Hicks are not getting the job done.

I would love to have the chance.

Baker is just so unreliable.  We badly need an upgrade to the pen.

He’s been a big disappointment to me this year. Really thought he was going to build on last year and be a really good pitcher this year.

Definitely way up the list of disappointments this year, maybe even at the top of the list.

What's a 17th round pick reliever with a 5+ ERA doing pitching for the LA Dodgers, the richest and spendiest team in baseball? No clue what Almonte is doing in that uniform. Maybe he would be suitable for the Royals or the A's this year, but the Dodgers, I can't see it.

Irvin will be a long man. That’s not his spot.

Not really close. Command was much better. He also was able to throw strikes low in the zone.

Yes. Hes in the MLB. He threw a handful of low fastballs for strikes. Wow. A guy in the big leagues did that. Consistency is what makes an MLB starter. Couldnt do it in the 6th inning. Its not good enough.
