Probably right.   However us being right on their necks might make them rattle a little.  If they drop a litle behind us and Toronto is on their rear.......that will be fun to see.

Want to know what the best thing about catching the Rays is?

They cant go wire to wire now.   They lost the lead.  They can still win it but they will never be able to say they went wire to wire.

Despite their record in July, it would be a fools errand to think that we're going to walk all over them. They are still pitching really well and they play much better baseball at home.

We ran a team down that started 13-0.  Thats saying something.

Have to expect the Rays to rebound, but at least it's going to be a race now. The Rays were looking unbeatable earlier in the season.

I think most people figured they weren't going to play .780 ball all year.

Rays are 3-11 in their last 14. (Two of the wins against the Royals.)

Orioles are 9-5 in their last 14.

There will never be a better time for a 4-game series against Tampa Bay. Orioles need to take full advantage.

The Rays were looking like they might win 105-110 games though and that isn't happening now. This Orioles team is good, but there's no way they were going to match that pace.
