I like Elias a lot. He’s not going to make any stupid moves just to make a move. With that said, he has to trade for a proven reliever. He just has to.

I do too.

I imagine DL as being a hard throwing LH reliever in the 7th inning in September and October.

And Means starting a couple games in September and then being in the rotation in the postseason.

While I certainly don’t want us doing anything so rash as dealing a top prospect for a rental, I think if we’re not willing to trade ANY prospects that that could be detrimental.

Could Hall be the reliever we need this season?   If I'm the Orioles, I'm certainly not banking on that, but it would be a nice idea to get him up here in August.

Could be AL Central shopping. Lorenzen as a SP and Barlow as a RP.

Haha.  Mid 90’s.   Gotten his velocity back?   I’m not falling for that.  If I don’t see him touching high 90’s (at least the 97 Tony said he was touching as a starter) in short stints, it’s not back.   Radar reading at Hall’s game was 94.4.   95 counts as mid 90’s but I expect more if he’s 100%.

DL has always had control issues so maybe he's just dialing it back more frequently to try and command his pitches. Has anyone considered that possibility? If he's approaching it anything like Dean Kremer does, then if he wanted to lean back deep and throw a 4 seamer for 97 MPH he could, because he has before.

That said, I'm not holding my breath he would be any type of improvement over Cionel Perez or Keegan Akin this season. There's alot he needs to prove yet. 

I'm a big fan of DL Hall so I really want him to succeed.

He didn't exactly say that.  There are other things that are considered as well.
