Well, the simulation proves the Orioles are the best team in the American League.  And as far as the simulation having the Dodgers win?  It's a stupid game.  That thing doesn't mean anything.

To me, it was not a total loss. We saw Means effective against a good hitting team with legit power hitters. He made one big mistake, but for the most part looked very good. We also saw Fuji pitch poorly again, which gives Hyde more information about what he's going to do with the bullpen come post season. I'm a little concerned about Ryan O'Hearn (I think he is something like 1 for 23 in the last week or so) and I'm concerned about our offense...but theres still time to iron things out.All and All,. not a completely meaningless game...not to me.

I do  not know if anyone else is worried about the Offense, but I am.  Not just the last couple days, but the last part of the regular season.  There are several,  and marks to low light it,  but the one I keep coming back to is the Cards game when we  could not score against a Pitching group of Starters and Bullpen that the NL  feasted on all year.   I commented on once before on OH, and it has worsened since then.  The only solace I have is remembering the sweep of the Dodgers with Koufax and Drysdale.   Everyone of the socalled experts was SURE that we did not have even a chance.    Baseball is a strange game.  Go Orioles.   We will show up.

It was pretty weird watching last night’s game.  The announcers weren’t focused on the game at all, just joking around and needling each other all game.  And the team wasn’t very energetic.  As Roy said, the big takeaway was Means pitching well again.  He’s definitely put himself on the playoff roster.

Do the final games have any meaning? Or, are these games eventually all "Best losses"?

Literally the only meaning the final two games have is potential home field over the Dodgers in a World Series where we face them. 

Braves have clinched WS home field over everyone.  And no other NL team outside of the Dodgers can catch us.

After the celebration I turned on MLB Tonight and after about 20 minutes they were talking O's and interviewed Adley.  Now... I'm not sure when this happened, because he was out on the field, but my first thought was it was after the celebration.  Looking back, it is very possible it was before, since it was out on the field.

But he was extremely giggly and at least one question he didn't really answer right away cause he was laughing and dropped his head into his hands.  I just remember thinking "man Adley's got a good buzz going on, good for him!"

But it might have just been adrenaline and joy of winning the division title as I said previously.  

In any event, I hope they had a blast.  Now let's come back and beat Boston at least 1 time so we can get the season series against them!

It was definitely before he went i to the clubhouse and I loved his giddiness!
