We will find out! I would start Cowser with Santander at DH regardless of matchup. If Cowser is on the roster I assume he has mastered hitting lefties at AAA!

I'm not sure why Nevin is being mentioned if he's not even on the roster.

I think we see either Mateo or McCann in the lineup against the LHP.

I just dug into some statistics vs LHP and I was surprised to discover that Westburg struggles vs lefties. He's better vs Right Handers than left handers.

Cowser also had difficulties against lefties in his AAA Career.

I don't think Santander is DH because he's going to be in Right Field.

I'll go out on a limb and guess that Austin Hays has a good chance to bat in the lead off spot. He's good vs LHP and he was batting in the #1 spot vs LHP last season.

It would also be nice to let our young players get shots against lefties so they can learn to hit lefties…especially when you say minor leaguers don’t see enough good lefty pitching.

The hypocrisy of how they go about this is maddening.

I checked Stowers' stats.  He hit surprisingly well against LHP in the minors, including a 1.018 OPS in 2023.  I know he's a long shot to get to the majors unless someone is hurt.  Would have been nice if Elias signed someone who mashed LHP instead of Kemp.  That would have at least made sense.
