People have better things to do than watch a 47-win baseball team.  I was still watching parts of games but certainly not 9 innings every night.

Yeah let's just call that the Dark Ages.

We saw a light at the end......way way at the end.  But it was a long walk to get to that light.

Possibly even worse.  I was a kid when the Os won all the time....every time.  In the 80s.  I was spoiled.

 

90s were ok.

2000s total disaster.

Mid 2010s a pleasant surprise.

Late 2010s another disaster.

Now?   Walk into the light.......

80s were great from 1980 to 1983. 1984 wasn't bad but the Tigers ruled. 1989 was Orioles Magic at it's finest. 1985 to 1988 were not very fun.

I guess that is my point.  If he wasn't a nationally known journalist who happened to be an Oriole fan but instead was just a normal everyday poster?

Would you say he is royalty?

I think we know the answer.  He would not be.    You know that.   And again, I really like Roy.  He is a super nice guy. 

I deal a lot in social media via you tube and instagram influencers from my part ownership in a fitness/cbd company, and I see this all of the time.   Social media people, most especially hot women but also pseudo celebs like Roy, get every break in the book when it comes to online postings.  People want to talk to them and get acknowledged by them.  It makes them feel good.  Hence why we pay to use them to promote products. 

Because people are suckers.

I boycotted some of the dark Angelos years. Don’t know that I could ever stay away for very long.

And that's the problem. You think a lot more of yourself than you should, and a lot more or Roy's place on the Hangout than you should.

 

EDIT: I meant a "Lot LESS" of Roy's place... blame the wine.

I don't mean suckers in a bad way.  More like they liked to be liked by the rich and famous and feel important because of it. 

 

It is just human nature.

 

It is why sites like ONLY FANS do so well.  Mainly the women.  So many men just want to be acknowledged by a pretty gjrl that they will pay money and humiliate themselves to have that happen.

Same on you tube with the Patreon's.
