The Reds have been very quiet so far you have to think they make some moves for relievers that could help some teams.  Moll, Cruz, Martinez, Diaz, Simms are all decent low cost guys.

Yup. We basically just took the bottoms of contending teams 40 man rosters back. It would’ve been much better to take A ball guys with more upside. 

Heck, for the person that downvoted the comment about the CWS return, you do realize that Yordan Alvarez was once an unknown A ball int’l player that was dealt at the deadline?  He was probably #22 or something at the time. Just like what the CWS got back today.

In essence this says more about the inexperienced Chris Getz and the incompetent ChiSox franchise. If GMs knew Fedde was available for nearly free they would have been all over it. The Cardinals made out like bandits.

I find it hard to believe that Getz would accept this without first seeing if other teams would better the offer.

Probably waiting to see how the market shakes out and see if someone panics.

Why would the Giants trade Snell when they are only 3.5 GB?  Unless it’s for mlb ready offense.
