Gil was pulled due to injury. He threw 78 pitches in 3+ innings, and according to the Yankee broadcast he had nothing tonight. I wonder if Gil has hit a wall and is going to be a non-factor going forward.

Besides Irvin's FIP was only 5.64 during that time, considerably better than Burnes' last start - for that matter it's in the same neighborhood as Burnes' last three consecutive starts. In the race to lose our way to the AL East title, it's clear we still have work to do.

He's now thrown 101 innings and given up only 68 hits. And recently, he seems to have figured out how to keep his walks in check, which has been his only weak point this year.
Pretty dominant.
Legit prospect?
It's a tough blow. This team is still a damn good team. The offense needs to step it up.
And of course somewhere soon the speculation of who is available in the Mexican League.
