Adley is in an otherworldly slump right now

Two of those HBP have come in the last few games. I don’t think that has had any impact whatsoever other than the injuries themselves

So the Fox broadcast was saying that Adley getting hit is the reason for his offensive struggle. That happened when he was hit in the hand (by a foul tip) on June 27th against the Rangers. His X-ray results came back negative at the time, but that could be the reason why he’s struggling. Since then, he’s got a .122 average, .455 OPS, and weirdly, 16 walks against 14 strikeouts. So he’s clearly not hacking at junk and failing to see the ball well, he’s probably still hurt.

Maybe but that's also so long ago. How long can a bruised hand keep you from hitting? Not sure I buy it.

Sure but I think it would have been a hit and over his head regardless, perhaps a double.

I was at the game and there was no way Noel was catching that even if he doesn't fall down. You could argue that it should have been a double with an error, but they usually only give out errors when the fielder touched the ball or it went clean through his legs.

A lot of Adley's hard hit liners get caught.  It was past time for a break.  It looked to that wasn't going to get caught anyways.

No, the foul tip hit his throwing hand. He had it wrapped and missed the next game. I’m just wondering if it was a hairline fracture the X-rays missed.

It could have but he has also been hitting into a lot of bad luck lately, so something “falling”‘for him helps to even things out a little bit.
