We're going to be okay.

Genuinely curious and not to be too doomsday.

do people still think we’re gonna be ok?

The 8th inning of today’s game was back breaking as a fan. 2 on no out and 3straight Ks.

Last year at this time feels like night and day. I know we’ve had injuries but it’s been mostly to the pitching and Westburg was a rookie. The rest of the offense is mostly the same and has been anemic since miss June.

At this point this is who we are. Perhaps when our injured players return that can bring some life to the offense but I think we need to shake some things up in the offseason.

Mediocre. Essentially been coasting on a hot start.

The only positive side I could trick myself into thinking about while I was riding around today and listening to the game on the radio is that the longer this offensive skid lasts, the better our chances of getting hot for the playoffs becomes.  I realize how stupid that sounds, but you don't want to peak early before the playoffs...so if we're still scuffling this week and next, I'm hoping that delays whatever hot streak that's on the horizon to the first week of October.

That's dumb, yes, I realize that.

I mean, we're going to be able to ride the wave of a strong first half into the playoffs and we'll probably get bounced in the first round.

Simply put, the amount of injuries have been entirely too much to overcome.

Baseball is pretty unpredictable.   If I was a betting man, I’d agree with you.    Right now, almost everything is going wrong and we’re sputtering right around .500 since the break.   You know as well as I do, one good turn through the rotation, a few bats getting hot, GROD, Coulombe, Urías, Wesrtburg coming back before the end of the season,  that this 😪  can turn to this 😃 pretty quickly around here.

That's true, it can.

Still, remains to be seen when...and more importantly...if...those players come back.

Realistically, we just have to hope the Orioles can pull off a 2023 Rangers impersonation and and get hot when the playoffs start.

Considering this franchise hasn't even won a playoff game since 2012, maybe they need to got in as a wild card and hopefully be a little healthier and hit a little better.

But when you are starting Maton and Slater against a right-handed starter in September, and Eloy Jimenez is your first right-handed pinch hitter off the bench when he's not starting, and we do have to admit the offense is not very deep in talent.

For the life of me I'd like to know why both Holliday and Mayo have been able to hit in AAA and look absolutely soul crushingly bad at the major league level.

This team will ride that great first few months into the playoffs and hopefully get hot, because they're not very good right now.

I think Wesburg coming back at all is a little better than 50-50, and if he does, it's a lot to ask that he gets red hot with a week to go in the regular season.

Positives today - Yankees lost! Thats all I got. Going forward - lots of "ifs". Make playoffs but how we do - questionable. Last year we went in on a high and crapped the bed. Maybe this year we surprise the heck out of everyone including ourselves. One can dream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Right now I think Westy would take a better at bat with one hand compared to many our current regulars with two.

Come on now, it’s been at least since 2014 since we’ve won a playoff game!
