Vogt’s pitching decisions are pretty baffling in this one.

With a day off tomorrow (or 5 months off tomorrow), he’s trying to squeeze outs out of guys who aren’t his best. Tries to get cute with Bibee instead of going to his uber-pen, and gets burned. Tries to sneak Herrin in there for the 8th instead of using Clase for 6 outs, and damn near got burnt again. Herrin is a good pitcher, but good God man, don’t blow the game in the 8th inning with the best reliever on the planet watching from the pen.

Ole buddy emptied out the bag of tricks in the bottom half though. Hit and run, followed by safety squeeze. That’s gold.

No real idea why Jobe was in there, in a one-run Game 4. But CLE made it happen.

I hate watching the skankees but Bob Costas makes it unbearable. Ron Darling can hardly get a word in. And he actually compared Stanton to Babe Ruth. I had to turn it off.

Blah, well Rob Manfred has to be happy along with Fox network. A Yankees-Mets World Series match up is still on the table and the Dodgers as well if they win tomorrow.

I knew the Royals would get jettisoned by the Yankees without too much of a fight.

Glad one poseur AL team is out.  I hope CLE wins and knocks the other one out tomorrow.

I trust the Dodgers more than the Padres to beat the Yankees, so danged if the poseurs rolling over for an obviously stronger team doesn't mix up the feelings as Manny gets ready for one of the biggest games of his life tonight.

Darvish and Yamamoto is a pretty fun old and young contrast to start out the game, though Tanner Scott, Jason Adam and Robert Suarez probably all get looked to for big work tonight.

Scott has been good against Ohtani so far, and perhaps literally guarantees himself more millions every time he gets him out.

Philadelphia we saw use both Hoffman and Estevez by the middle innings the other day.

Game 5 in Cleveland tomorrow moved from 8pm to 1pm because of a bad evening weather forecast in Cleveland Saturday night.   (And now it's not on against the Ohio State game so the poor Ohioans won't have to choose).
