6 for his last 39 (.154) with 1 BB and 8 K's.

On the year he is at .255/.309/.644

I figured he'd settle in between .250-.275 for the season and i expect his walk rate to improve as the season goes on. He'll likely have to repeat some level as he moves through simply because he is very young and very, very raw. I still feel like the sky is the limit with him.

Don't look now but we may be seeing the beginning of Avery's second hot streak for the year.

He went 3-5 today in the Shorebirds' 12 inning victory. he had an RBI, a walk and a SB, his 24th of the season and scored a run.

In his last 10 games he's batting .308, on a four-game hit streak and three of those 4 games had multiple hits. He has struck out 10 times in his last 39 at bats, but also drawn 3 walks.

On the season, the 19 year old CF has gone .258/.313/.369 on the season with 10 dbls, 7 triples, 2 HRs and 28 RBIs while stealing 24 bases. His 83 strikeouts iis awful, but we can hope he continues to improve.
