ive seen hill's sidearm pitch before but i didnt know it was a curve he throws.

I'm pretty sure they are two different pitches. He's got that really large curveball and then he has a little slider flick pitch he throws sidearm against lefties. I used to do the same thing in little league (I'm a lefty)... without the curveball of course ;)

Still not necessarily a bad idea. He is a GG defender, plays in a park that kills his numbers, should come considerably cheaper than everyone thought due to a rough year plus the overall free agent market declining, plus he is only 30.

For a couple years at 7 or 8 million I could get behind signing Beltre.

Exactly, I'm not campaigning that he's the next Evan Longoria but at the right price he's perfect for this team.

im assuming its a habit of him.

I used to do it all the time on AIM and w/ message boards. Its just a way to segment thoughts usually

Right. Next year he'd bat 8th and with he and Izturis on the left side our defense there would be fantastic.

I think he could definitely make sense for us.

And Hill comes right back for the K. Nice rebound by Hill.

Ah I see he's got a two seamer and a four seamer. Still, it'd be nice if he had another breaking pitch.

He's thrown a few changeups so far tonight.

First time ive seen Hill pitch and im not impressed. He needs more than a curve ball.

After the stuff we've had to watch over the past decade, I'm will to be patient with a guy who's been hurt for a year, left handed, and has had success before.
