I say we give Loewen a few starts at Ottawa to take what he learned here and apply it. I think he's proven he's got great stuff just not yet ready for the bigs

There's no way Ortiz signs here to go to AAA. Loewen down, Ortiz up.

I'm not necesarily against this, Loewen will be back up sooner rather than later and adding Ortiz may help put a Rodrigo trade into motion.

Let's just hope they didn't give him some ridiculously stupid contract.

I don't see how this can possibly be a bad deal... worst case scenario: he continues to suck and the O's waste just over 300k on him. Best case: Mazzone works him back into a solid starter.
