You think they're gonna walk a runner to 3B?

To pitch to "sweet Lou" instead of Tejada with two outs??? Every day and twice on Sundays. Thanks Boston. That was as dumb as anything I've seen all year, and i have witnessed a bunch. We all have.

No manager in baseball would walk the winning run to 3B... and it wouldn't be to pitch to Lou, that's what PH'ing is for.

Satchel Paige might have done it, just to show off right before he K'd the next guy, but no manager would do it...

Why would Boston not walk Tejada and Pitch to Montanez. That is absolutely the stupidest managerial decision I have seen in a long, long time.

Maybe because Reimold was pinch hitting for him.

He would have faced Reimold, not Montanez. HPB, walk, PB all end the game. You never walk the winning run to third unless you have Ruth, Bonds, or Pujols up, imo.

I live in NE so had to watch the game on NESN since my MLB EI of the Orioles broadcast was blacked out. On the pre-game the conclusion to the analysis was that the O's are terrible and Sox fans should expect a sweep.

Also, on the radio and TV this week the Sox sports reporters basically said the sox should have swept the Orioles the last time they played, and I'm thinking, uh, the Orioles could have easily swept the Sox! Then they show the stats from the series and the Sox hit .281 and the O's .331 and the big difference in hits.
