In a word no. He is too often an easy out, which is why I prefer Davis hitting 4 and Jones hitting 3. But Buck likes his L/R/L thing.

Most managers are doing the L/R/L thing, wasn't Earl one of the first to really put it into use, full time????

I have found it hard to follow Buck Logic for a while now. I love me some Buck, but some of his in game management (and lineups too) are hard to understand.

Hell, Valencia had 3 hits on Monday, and now rides the pine two straight days.

Valencia has very good career numbers vs Price. Evidently Buck gives credence to that type of data.

And it worked. But Buck also has a trend of sitting hot hitters. Did it to Fox a couple years back. Did it to Flaherty in June when BRob came back. Its mind boggling sometimes.

I think 9 AB's is a pretty small sample size. But, this actually makes more sense. Pearce has no AB's vs. Hellickson.
