I meant a problem today. But overall, I agree. Teagarden isn't a problem. A backup catcher should be a good defender, have a decent throwing arm and be able to work well with the pitchers. As far as I can tell, that's what Teagarden is.

I got you. We're on the same page. How many O's subs have we seen this season who fit your description of being "serviceable"? I will say that some of them have come through, though. Ryan Flaherty, Chris Dickerson and Alexi Casilla all come to mind as having made some clutch hits to help win games. Even Steve Pearce has once or twice.
