Welll if we are just making up things then why not just blame Mclouth for not hitting a homer. Danny doesn't bunt there anyway, The pitcher also pitches differently. The move to steal was the right decision if it was the pitch before or the one after he is in easily because they were low pitches. It was bad luck the pitch he ran on was a ball high and away.

The offense got 15 hits and 19 base runners, they were far from terrible.

It doesn't matter how many runners get on base when you only score 3 runs. Even if we would've scored 5 runs, I guarantee most of us would have said how the offense should have been much better and the game shouldn't have even been close.

They were good without RISP, and absolutely terrible with it, which led to only 3 runs which is bad, and absolutely atrocious considering how many men we had on base.

And knowing how inconsistent this team is, after 3 straight games of getting alot of hits, they'll probably disappear the next 2 games and get swept, because as usual they will fail to get the job done in a clutch situation.

I suppose my contentment with the offense rests on my firm belief that clutch hitting is not a separate skill and thus not worth talking about when looking to the future.

You've gotta at least make CONTACT... cut down on the swing, etc. When you've got a guy on third with less than two outs, adjust to the situation. You don't have to hit a 450 foot home run!!!! Make contact and drive in the run.
