I am not an insider so I cannot read the entire rumor on ESPN. But the title is "O's closing in on Balfour?" and is from 3:17 this afternoon. I don't know if it has anymore info. than what is already known on this discussion. If someone is an insider, then they may be able to tell us more of the article.

I click on the Adam Eaton link to check out the stats, since I knew that he was one of Arizona's better prospects and this is what I got. I think ESPN is a little confused. The White Sox will be a little upset if this is the Adam Eaton that shows up.

I think so too but we will see who replaces him. I think it had little to do with "reallocation of resources".

A's chipped in 2 million which just pays for his 1.5 million buyout at the end of the year. So Oak gets a top 25 prospect before last year and another arm. Great trade for the A's they just got 7.5 off their books.

The O's need to just wrap this Balfour thing up and not let a team looking for a set up guy swoop in. Like the NYY.
