Cruz would be a miserable pickup IMO. To quote a fangraphs article about his FA status he's the "landmine" of the class. Players with his skillset at his age rarely continue to produce anything close to useful for a team.

I understand Choo is too much for the teams liking. At this point, especially if were willing to give up that 1st round pick, we should go after Morales and either Garza or Jimenez, for a tiny bit more $. I hope this team doesn't sign Cruz to what's being reported
