This is BS!! The wasted time every close play while a team determines whether they are going to challenge or not...the should add all the time to the challenge time that they announce.

They just wanted to give the reliever more time.

I wonder if this may be the reason for a later rule adjustment? Maybe that the challenge has to occur within 10 seconds of the manager coming out of the dugout, or you lose the chance?
