Tilman went 7 innings giving up three runs. That is not on the starting pitcher. The offense has been bad and can't get the big hit at home and then Hunter can't keep in close.

This. Your expected winning percentage is not very high when you get to the eighth inning and down by two. If you're not going to let your worst pitchers pitch in these situations, when are you going to pitch them?

Now, as far as whether Hunter should be on the team at all with an ERA approaching 7... that's the question that SHOULD be focused on.
