Not Orioles but does that really make them better?

On paper no because he is hitting .229 with 7 hr's, but we all know that once he slips on those pinstripes, he will turn into superman.

It's a defensive upgrade at 3B for them, but he's having an awful year with the bat. If the O's handle their business, it shouldn't really matter that much.

Remember when everyone was willing to trade Gausman, Bundy and Manny for Headley? He was the 2nd son of god.

He has been a second half hitter the last two seasons and is showing that again this year with a very good July. They have been getting decent play at third at the start but it has fell off some and Wheeler is not the answer.

I though the McCarthy move was great, he was my number 1 trade target for the O's.

This move I don't get. He's a good player, but he isn't going to get you over the hump. And it's not like the Yankees are going to extend him, they have A-Rod coming back next year. Seems kind of steep to pay for an average rental.

Arod isn't going back. I think they cut bait. That ship has sailed.

Getting him out of PETCO will help him out tremendously. I would not be surprised to see him have a great couple of months for the Yankees.

Suzuki would be a massive upgrade at C over what we are trotting out there now. I wouldn't want him long term, but for the rest of the year he'd be a great get.

Buck loves these type of players.

Suzuki was beloved in the Nationals? clubhouse for his effervescence and diligence, often the first player to arrive to prepare game plans with opposing pitchers.

So they are going to pay A-Rod 20+ million' date=' and pay Headley whatever his market value would be? You're talking 30+ million tied up into 3B.[/quote']

One way or the other, Arod is gone. Book it.

This is not about next year. It is about next week. Solarte had no value. Not certain about DePaula.
