I actually agreed with his statement in part. I had a hard time believe we would play just 17-17 the rest of the way aswell with us playing so well .500 seemed hard t do more like .600 ball down the stretch. 21-13 seemed closer prediction then 17-17.

My statement wasn't a prediction. It was a statement of fact, the Orioles could play poorly and still hit 90 wins. It was a statement that the Orioles basically only had to win X many games, and it did not particularly matter which games they were.

I too felt that the Orioles would play like they are - at a much higher level. It is a statement to how well they have played so far.

The Yankees must win 18 of their final 24 games if the Orioles succeed in winning eight.

If the Orioles were to lose all of their remaining games against the Yankees, the Orioles would simply have to go 8-7 in their remaining 15, the Yankees would (after winning those eight games) would still need to win 10 of their remaining 16 games beyond those 8.
