I definitely would have considered voting for him here. I love his upside offensively. He did make 13 errors in 45 games at 3B though.

I'm going to go out on a limb with who I think it should be, not necessarily a guess about who I think you will pick.

Zach Davies has succeeded everywhere he's been in our system. He posted a 3.86 ERA as a 19-year old at Delmarva, a 3.69 ERA as a 20-year old at Frederick, and a 3.35 ERA as a 21-year old at Bowie. Right now, he's pitching extremely well in the Arizona Fall League, posting a 2.08 ERA so far in what is considered a hitter's league. His K rate has gone up as he's moved up the chain, from 7.2 to 8.0 to 8.9.

He's a small guy (listed at 6'0" and 150 pounds) who's not going to intimidate anyone, but from everything I've read (mostly, from Tony's prior evaluations), the kid really knows how to pitch. And I'm impressed that he has been more successful the further up the chain he has progressed, particularly in the move this year to AA.

I doubt Davies' ceiling is super-high, but I could see him being the next Miguel Gonzalez. And that's not a bad thing.
