The Washington Post posited that ?home-field advantage? in the playoffs was worth one extra win. The value of home-field advantage, however, when applied to the postseason, is grossly overstated, and the application of the ?home-field advantage? argument usually is flawed.

The fact that two wild card teams made the world series, and the home team lost game 7, says a lot about home field advantage this season. Also, that the ASG decides the WS home team is THE dumbest thing going in MLB right now.

As long as Kevin Millar has a job in the business the title for dumbest thing going in MLB is not up for debate.

You only get home field advantage if it goes seven games. If it goes five games the loser of the all star games league gets home field advantage.
