2014 #8 Prospect: Parker Bridwell - RHP

Although Bridwell will tease the organization with those double digit strikeout games on occasion, the organization would be smart to convert him into a reliever at this point in his career and see how his stuff plays in shorter stints more often.

I think Bridwell made some decent progress in 2014, but I'd still have him outside the top 10 due to his inconsistency. Hopefully he'll continue to progress in 2015.

Always been intrigued by this guys stuff. I agree that they should see how his stuff plays up in the bullpen.

The nice thing about the bullpen is that the manager is much quicker to take someone out if they don't have the stuff that day. Matusz and Brach both benefited big time from being taken out of games when they weren't on this year.

I think the organization is discussing this as well. I know some would like to see his transition happen next year. I guess we'll see but he could be a factor in Baltimore, possibly next year at some point if he makes a successful conversation. I'd put him in the back end of Bowie's bullpen and pitch him in two inning stints.

So likely done as a starter but not actually decided yet?
