Well, this is true but it needs a little context.

The Guaranteed salaries include prorated signing bonus that were probably paid at signing.

- Adam Jones had a 2M signing bonus that was probably paid in May of 2012 instead of being spread over 6 years at .333M

-Dylan Bundy had a 4M signing bonus that was probably paid in 2011 instead of being spread over 5 years.

Deferred money

Ubaldo's salary includes 2.25M that is deferred annually. So the money paid in 2015 is really 10M instead of 12.5M. There is a difference between money earned and money paid.

Hardy also has deferred money in his new contract. Cots calls it undefined but other sources have said it is 6.5M over the three year term.

Also 108M here is on for 6 players guaranteed salaries and 11 arbitration players to total 17 players. The other 8 players will probably average 530K each. Or 4.24M total Totally 26 players because Bundy will be in the minors.

The chart also does not include the 500k deferred for Bonilla that is to be paid in 2015.

Its also does not include the 1.75m to be paid to Yoon.
